Corporate Social Responsibility
CSR practices are as equally important for us as our business activities. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a management strategy within the framework of which Kuchinox, in their activities, voluntarily includes social interests, environmental aspects or relations with various stakeholder groups, with employees in particular. For us being socially responsible means investing in human resources, maintaining relations with company’s environment, especially the local one, related to the city of Łódź, and notifying on such activities.
Helping is in our blood, and thus we are engaged in external projects, and prepare our own support initiatives, too. Due to nature of the business run by Kuchinox Poland, the company’s support includes donation of our products to those who are in need to facilitate their day-to-day functioning and allow for comfortable furnishing of kitchens, bathrooms and convenient organization of storage space. Apart from that we provide financial support for institutions involved in helping on the territory of Poland and outside our eastern border.
We act locally, nation-wide and abroad.
We are particularly proud that our employees are personally engaged in helping those who are in need, and that they are able to get other team members involved in their private initiatives. Any collection of gifts and fund-raising, no matter the purpose, are always hugely popular, which proves that Kuchinox gathers people with noble ideas.
We are pleased that activities we take in Corporate Social Responsibility ensure a significant help, evidenced by many thanks we receive. We also know that our Customers very much follow charitable campaigns we take part in, and we hope that we are their inspiration in this respect.
Donations
In 2021 under the heading ”Kuchinox dla szkół” (Kuchinox for schools) we launched the first donation campaign which resulted in educational institutes nationwide receiving 7,316 interior furnishing products of a total value of about 170,000 PLN.
With schools and kindergartens in mind, where after a long absence, learners came back to stationary education, we prepared a collection of bathroom and kitchen tapware, washbasins and metal articles. We considered furnishing of sanitary rooms particularly important, because of the pressure of keeping hands clean caused by the pandemic restrictions, particularly in public places.
Range and interest of the campaign exceeded our expectations. Applications came in large numbers from the biggest cities, as well as small towns and villages across Poland. We handed over many donations to institutions from our closest vicinity – in Łódź and Zgierz. Such active response from schools, kindergartens and other educational institutions strengthened our belief that the initiative is right and we could not make a better choice as far as our first target group is concerned.
Now, in spring 2022 we announced the second donation campaign under the heading “Kuchinox dla domów dziecka i rodzin zastępczych”(Kuchinox for orphanages and foster families), addressed to foundations and public benefit organizations. We truly admire people who care for children who for different reasons cannot be brought up in their biological families. Our products are supposed to make day-to-day functioning easier and more pleasant and give a relief to tight household budgets where expenses for renovation are not a priority.
Within the framework of our cooperation with the Council of the City of Łódź and Łódź-based “Dobro Dzieje się” (Good happens) Foundation we endowed orphanages and foster families with more than 600 products for a total of 10,000 PLN. Our tapware, sinks, handles, wardrobes and decorative products allowed for creating snug rooms for Polish and Ukrainian children.
Helping Ukraine
News about the Russian invasion of the territory of our eastern neighbours – alike the whole Europe and the World – was a real shock for us. Without hesitation we engaged ourselves in help in every possible way.
Staying in constant touch with our Ukrainian Customers, we tried to respond to current needs of war-torn Ukraine. For a donation initiative taken and handled by our Sales Representative, in which apart from the Board, other employees, were engaged, necessary tactical equipment was successfully purchased and delivered to areas under military operation. We also sent dressings and medicines, collected at our headquarters, to Ukraine.
We donated a financial support of 10,000 PLN to the Polish Medical Mission. We purchase power generators that are sent outside our eastern border. We support various institutions, foundations and associations involved in preparing accommodations and searching places to live for refugees by donating our products necessary to furnish kitchens, bathrooms and other rooms for free.
We started cooperation with the Zamek Leśna Skała Foundation in Szczytna, which accepted 300 Ukrainian refugees. To furnish bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms for such large group, we donated more than 1,200 products for a total of 54,000 PLN. Our support allowed a facility made available by the Congregation of Missionaries of the Holy Family . Part of products was distributed directly among people coming to the Zamek Leśna Skała Foundation, who help refugees individually.
Moreover, we try to support individuals who lodged Ukrainian citizens fleeing from war. We admire them and are proud that Poles, as a nation, passed this difficult exam. Therefore we decided to donate our products – especially ones from the metal group – which will facilitate a comfortable and quick organization of space allowing for storage of personal effects.
Workcamp Łódź 2019
Camp for young people called “Workcamp”, is an international initiative gathering people from all around the World. Its purpose is to connect representatives of various countries and environments by working together for local communities.
In 2019 within the framework of Łódź-based Workcamp Project by the Technical University in Łódź volunteers renovated Place of Support for Children and Families at Małachowskiego street. We truly admire engagement of the Foster Custody Support Department and volunteers who devoted their holiday time to provide unselfish help and we are glad that we could be a part of this brilliant initiative. Even though the most serious renovation works were being carried out for a few-week time by students from the Young Construction Engineers and Technicians Club of the Łódź Department of the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians, and our participation was symbolic, we are proud that our products were used to furnish the centre.
Our tapware is used not only by small wards of the Rodzina Jest Dla Dzieci (Family is for children) Foundation, but also by their guardians, employees and visiting volunteers.
