[ALL] Where to buy spare parts for Kuchinox sink?

Please contact Kuchinox Service Department by sending an e-mail at: zamienne@kuchinox.pl. Our employees will help to choose necessary parts and check their availability and suggest how to perform some maintenance works or replace particular parts on user’s own.

[ALL] How to select a sink size according to a cabinet size?

In the case of inset 2-bowl sinks, they must be smaller than cabinet body by at least 5 cm. With inset 1-bowl or 1.5-bowl models with drainer, the most important thing is to make sure that a sink bowl fits in a cabinet body, while the drainer itself can be mounted above the other cabinet. In turn, lay-on sinks for mounting on cabinets must be of the same size as the cabinet because they sit on its borders.

Yes, there is a possibility to connect a mill/disposer. This can be done in steel and granite sinks with 3.5” hole for siphon.

When buying a Kuchinox sink, you get mounting clips and siphon with a possibility of connecting a dishwasher, equipped with a strainer preventing larger food particles from getting through the sewers. Kuchinox granite sinks are standard fitted with Space Saving siphons, which save space in a cabinet under the sink, thus allowing for its comfortable arrangement, e.g. for waste segregation bins. Strainers in sinks with 3.5’’ outlet are movable and can be removed to get rid of waste. In models with 2’’ outlet, fixed strainer is provided.

[ALL] Drainer in sink – is it needed?

Sinks with drainer ensure great comfort of work. It can be used for draining dishes after washing up, putting away hot dishes or drying of foods. An indirect solution are models with small drainer. According to the needs, there are sinks with full drainer, half-drainer or without one.

[ALL] How many bowls should a sink have?

Choice of sink according to number of bowls is an individual matter. When planning a purchase, take into account own habits, character of kitchen tasks, number of users, size of kitchen and additional equipment (e.g. dishwasher). For hand washing, 2- or 1.5-bowl sink is more practical. In kitchens equipped with a dishwasher, one bowl will be fine.

[STEEL] Steel sink – what sheet metal thickness to choose?

The thicker the sheet metal the greater the stability and stiffness of the sink. Sheet metal thickness also has an impact on the product weight and its price. The most frequently, steel sinks are made of steel with a thickness of 0.5 to 0.8 mm.

In the case of installation of a high mixer on a sink, we recommend using a stiffening pad available in Kuchinox offer (catalogue code: CZZ 700T). It will help to stiffen the place of installation of mixer in a steel sink.

[STEEL] Smooth or linen finish? What is the difference?

Kuchinox steel sinks come in two finishes: smooth and linen with a delicate texture, resembling a fabric. Both versions have the same resistance properties. Sinks with décor feature increased scratch resistance. Therefore, are recommended for kitchens where cooking is frequent. Smooth surface is easy to clean.

Kuchinox granite and steel sinks intended for inset mounting in a worktop are mounted in the same way. To install them, cut an opening of adequate size. Thus, turn the sink upside down and draw its outline on the top. Then subtract 10 mm at each side and cut an opening along the inner line. Protect edges of the cut opening with silicone. Before placing the sink in the top, mount clips (in the prepared spots) included and siphon on the sink. After mounting the sink, tighten clips to the top.
